Music plays a huge role in my painting. It inspires me and brings out certain emotions that come through in each painting. Emotive expression is my main focus as an artist, so the music I paint to happens to be especially passionate. Below I've listed my very favorite tunes to paint to. They're great to listen to in general too. If you're smart, you'll check them out. ;o)

The Best of Delerium. Beautiful, ethereal music that takes you to a whole other world. |
Muse - Absolution. This is, in my humble opinion, the most passionate CD out there. Also one of the very best. |
The Cure - Bloodflowers. The Cure is one of my all-time favorite bands, and this is one of my favorite Cure albums (along with Head on the Door and Wish). Pretty, moody tunes--just how I like 'em. |
VAST - Turquoise and Crimson. VAST has been around for awhile, but I am a new fan. Jon Crosby 's so talented--and I've had the pleasure of meeting him! |
Damien Rice - O. This is my all-time favorite go-to album for painting. I have to practice self-control and listen to it sparingly so I don't wear it out--that's how good it is. |
Tori Amos--Little Earthquakes. This album rips your heart right out of your chest, stomps on it a few times, throws it in a food processor, then shoves it back in. Great for angry/sad days. |
Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head. This band is wildly popular for a reason. |
Imogen Heap - Speak for Yourself. This stuff is brilliant. Imogen is my very favorite female artist. Another album I have to listen to in moderation so I don't get sick of it. |
